ReMix Market RVA (unique Ashland-area Thrift Store) seeks a mature, energetic, and dependable part-time associate to help with day-to-day store and retail operations (2-3 shifts per week). This is a customer-facing position so you should enjoy working with the public and have a pleasant and engaging personality. Experience working in a thrift store environment would be preferred. Our ideal candidate would be comfortable engaging/interacting daily on multiple social media platforms (Facebook & IG) as you would be partly responsible for updating/posting items several times a day while also responding to online, phone and in-person inquiries.
Our fast-paced shop supports local area charities through its sales efforts and we have a steady number of both new and wonderfully loyal repeat customers. This position requires someone in good physical condition, and you should be comfortable helping to move small to large furniture items around in the shop as well as loading pieces of furniture (with assistance) into customers' vehicles. Store hours are Tues-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturdays 9-3pm (2-3 shifts a week including some Saturdays). Interest in, and knowledge of vintage furniture, antiques, and various household items is required. You should also feel comfortable running a cash register (Square), answering phone inquiries and being responsible for routine store maintenance and upkeep, working with your team of sales personnel, scheduling and all facets of the business operations.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
