We’re looking for an Operations Manager to take charge of our show. What’s the show? It’s the Junkluggers of Gainesville, Woodbridge, and Alexandria, Virginia. Last year, we tackled over 1800 jobs, managed five trucks, and operated seven days a week. Basically, we help people clear out their unwanted stuff from homes and businesses.

We’re offering a base salary of $40,000, but if you’re the right fit with the right experience, we’re open to discussing more.

We need someone who’s a jack-of-all-trades: a coach, motivator, trainer, and team player. Experience in the home services industry is a big plus. Your role will be to keep our junk removal operations running smoothly—managing the team, the trucks, the scheduling, and anything else that keeps us on track.

Job Summary
Our Operations Manager is a mission critical leader to our front-line team members. Responsibilities:
●       Drive operational efficiencies, team productivity, and exceptional customer service.
●       Own the logistical complexities of the weekly schedule, ensuring field operations run smoothly.
●       Promote and maintain a safety culture among the team, while training on operational best practices.
●       Work with community donation, recycling, and disposal partners to create unbreakable relationships to ensure the disposal of items the green way.
●       Lead as the operational decision maker, empowering your teams to make field decisions while acting as a supportive sounding board to their ideas.
●       Accountable for customer escalations to ensure positive customer outcomes.
●       Responsible for the overall truck and equipment maintenance schedule.
●       Execute guerilla marketing tactics to win repeat business, referrals, and new customers.
●       Collaborate with leadership to embrace, implement, and promote continuous improvement.
 
Qualifications
●       2+ year of operations or related experience
●       Experience leading a team
●       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – this is a customer-facing role
●       Safety-first mindset
●       Ability to learn and use technology quickly and efficiently
●       Ability to problem solve on the fly to get the job done
●       Supply and reliably use your own mobile phone 
●       Ability to lift 75 lbs
●       Military experience is highly valued, particularly for the leadership, discipline, and adaptability it fosters. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
 
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
